| Comments: | As a cook at another local restuarant I can honestly say that Shatchros is one of the greatest deals to day. For example I ordered the chicken strip plate. At my employer we offer a similar plate which comes with three chicken strips a choice of potato and a small salad for $7.25. Here at Snatchro's I recieved 7 strips with a massive amount of tator tots as my two sides. I chose double tots. It is hard to find a small business that offers tator tots. Most small businesses seem to be out for themselves and never for the customer Satchros is different. Everyone of my experiences have been great and I will praise them to my friends family and anyone looking to feed a family on a budget |

| Comments: | The French Market on the other hand offered relatively simple, traditional fare in generous portions for very little money and the taste was phenomenal. Satchro's is the French Market to downtown's Garden District. Satchro's in unpretentious, the food is delicious. |

| Comments: | What a pleasant surprise. The building may be humble but the food was quite wonderful and an excellent value. A quintessential "mom & pop" place, a little bit of southern Americana really. Simple cuisine but a broader menu than I'd have expected. I was quite surprised when ordering the fish plate that I was given the option of tilapia, whiting or catfish (I had the catfish...) If your idea of eating out revolves around corporate chain restaurants then it isn't for you (though I daresay you could use a little more adventure in your life.) When I was in New Orleans we ate in the Garden District and we ate in the French Market. The Garden District food was haute cuisine, tremendously over-priced and more of a culinary/economic status symbol (you were supposed to feel neat and special for being able to afford to eat there) than an enjoyable experience.
